Create Timesheet, Create with Projects option does what? MSP 2007

SP1 with DecCU.
I have a user that created his Tmesheet by selecting the projects option
from the menu, entered his time against a project and submitted, but his time
didn't accrue against the project, as far as I can tell. We are using self
approval on timesheets.
I looked in the DB and didn't see his time in Reporting so I tried to find a
descrption of "Create with Projects" and so far have not found anything that
describes that option. Can anyone describe what the option does and the flow
of the time entered? how does it accrue against the project? When would it be
used?
Many Thanks in advance!

DogLBer:

When you create by Projects, you create on line item per assigned project in
the timesheet, which cannot flow back into the project. The only option that
allows you to flow time entry from the timesheet to the Project plan via the
My Tasks page or Tied Mode solution, is to use create by task. When you
collect time at the task level, it can be processed into the project.

Again Thanks. You confirmed what I suspected but couldn't find the verbiage
in MS to nail down. I didn't spot any way to turn off the options so I guess
this is as Dale says a "training" opportunity.
