create two text placeholders above multiple content placeholders

Am new and finding I can't create the slide I want in the 2003 version of
Powerpoint. Seems I can't place two text placeholders about multiple content
placeholders on each slide. Is there a way around this? Thanks for all and
any help!

Choose Format | Slide Layout. Do any of these do what you want? (You can
also type text in a content placeholder. Just click its edge and start
typing.)

Much appreciated, but the sample layouts don't fit my need which is why I'm
having trouble putting the two placeholders above the content placeholders.
Am looking to have two boxes of text above 4 pictures (two sets of two on top
of each other), so 6 placeholders.........

Ahhh, yeah, you won't be able to do that. You'll just have to make a sample
slide -- one that uses the 4 placeholders, then add two text boxes above on
the slide itself for the text.

On the slide master, whatever area the one big text placeholder takes up is
the area the content placeholders will use in total. So if you need more
room at the top to make room for textboxes on the slide, just grab the top
of the text placeholder on the master and drag it downward. Now when you
pick that 4 content slide layout, you'll have room to add the textboxes on
the slide.

In PPT 2007, you can create your own slide layouts and custom placeholders.
