Create WordDoc Clone

Anyone know a better way of cloning an open Word doc than copy/paste using
the clipboard?

The purpose is to save the open doc as an attachment in a CRM package.
Don't want to do .SaveAs to the open doc as that would change its saved
state, etc. So I create a new doc and paste the contents from the open doc.
It works, but I am just wondering if there's a better way.
Thanks. -Greg Fox

Hi Greg

Take a look at the FormattedText property in Word VBA help. It gives a code
sample that does exactly what you are asking for.

Jonathan,

Thanks, that was perfect! Never noticed or used the .FormattedText
