Created in old Version

I have a database that was created in an older version of Access and each
time I open the database I get an error message that states unsafe
expressions are blocked. How can I stop this message from appearing each
time I open this database.

Hi Ronnie,

I dunno if it'll work for you, but when I needed to install a program
on one of my newer machines that had Access 2003 (and I'm doing
everything in Access 2000) I went into Tools/Macros/Security and I
clicked on the "low" button (even tho it says it's not recommended).
That stopped those incessant messages from appearing. Dunno what
it'll do to your idea of the security features tho...

Access 2007 (you didn't mention which one you're using now) includes
additional security to prevent unwanted code from running unless you decide
to allow it.

If you don't know where the Access database came from or who wrote it (or
don't trust them), don't allow the code to run.

If you do trust the source, consider placing the file in a folder that you
tell Access is to be "trusted".

If you can get the creator to "sign" the database/file with a digital
signature (again, with the trust already!), it should run without being
placed in a trusted location.

I wrote the database in Access 2000. I am trying to open it on a computer
with Access 2003.

Thanks! Since I had originally created the database, I knew it was safe and
this worked!
