Createdate Field

I have a template where I am using the Createdate field. Two of my coworkers
have the problem on their computers with the date still updating when
printing. In Options, Print, the Update Field is NOT selected. I don't know
why this should be happening. There is no problem on my computer.

Any suggestions? thanks, ll

If you've emailed the file to your co-workers, and they've used Save As to
save the file to the HD (which is the sensible thing to do), then the
CreateDate file may well be the date they saved the document. You could
advise them to lock (Ctrl+F11) or unlink (Ctrl+Shift+F9) the field before
printing, though even repaginating (opening in Print Layout view) may be
sufficient to update the field.

So would it be a good idea to Convert the CreateDate field to static
text before distributing it to people who need to work on the document
further?
