Createprojectfromtemplate and ProjectResourceNotFound

I'm trying to create a project from template (the template has any team
resource) as part of a batch operation using the PSI.
I can create new project instances in Project
Pro, but if I try to CreateFromTemplate() the PSI throws me the error of
"ProjectResourceNotFound". I take a look at the
project template's dataset and see that it has a row in the
ProjectResourceCustomFields table referencing a resource UID that is
not in the ProjectResource table.
Has anyone ran across this?

This is a known issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950816

"You cannot create a project from a template by using the Project Server
Interface (PSI) if the project has custom fields and assignments that
have unassigned resources in Project Server 2007."

However, I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest CU and SP2,
which will contain this update plus many others..
