creating a calender for schedualing appointments

I need to arrange an appointment calender for different
people in one database...i want it to be possible to view
open times in a daily schedual and enter in appointments.
i would also like to be able to enter in appointment
times for dates in the future.
Any help would be appriciated, i'm not sure what i am
doing!
