creating a chart from multiple files

I run a weekly cash flow analysis and keep the summary files in a folder
together. Each one is simply named with the date that it was created on.
ex: 'CFA 04-04-05'. My question is -- is there a way to create a chart that
looks at all of the different files? Essentially I'd like to be able to
chart how the 4 week outlook changed over the last 2 years.

I would like to be able to do this without needing to open every single file
-- there are quite a few of them, and this would take a significant amount of
time.

Hi -

My solution would be to create a consolidation workbook that contains
only those data areas that you want to chart, linked to the originals.
When you then open this workbook, it will ask you whether the links
should be updated or not, and you can then update only the data you
need for the chart. Unless you are doing something very, very complex,
this shouldn't take much time at all.

I had thought of that solution -- but the problem is that there could be
hundreds of files to add. It would be extremely time consuming the first
time.
