Creating a Combination Chart

I have 3 data series. I would like to make Series 1 a clustered column, and
Series 2 & 3 a stacked column. Is that possible? If so, could someone
kindly tell me how to do it? Thanks in advanced for any help.

Hi Bob,

First of all built the chart as a clustered column with the 3 series, than
select series 2 right click on it, select Chart Type and select a a stacked
column type; repeat for series 3.

(I'm not sure of names of menus, options and commands, because
translating from the Italian version of Excel...)

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I already tried your suggestion, but
it did not work. Apparently, Excel allows only certain chart types to be
combined. And having a cluster bar and stacked bar on the same chart is not
an allowable combination. Thanks again.

Bernard Liengme's page shows one example with stacked and unstacked adjacent
columns, as opposed to multiple adjacent stacked columns.

Thanks for the tip! Although Bernard Liengme's solution is not exactly what
I was looking for, it gets me closer to what I am trying to achieve (i.e.,
1st bar clustered; 2nd & 3rd bars stacked on one another). With some slight
modifications to Bernard Liengme's solution, however, I just might be able to
achieve my objective.

As I recall, Bernard's solution was 1st & 2nd stacked and 3rd clustered.
Just delete a different column from the original, which had 1&2 stacked next
to 3 & 4 stacked.
