Creating a concept map

Hi there,

need to create a concept map, so i was wondering whether there's a way to do that without having to repetitively draw boxes and whether there's a template for that.

Hi Nara -

AFAIK, a "concept map" is nothing more than a flow chart - the structure
just depends on the concepts being mapped. Have a look at the Smart Art
Graphics in the Elements Gallery to see if there is a style that will fit
your purpose - all of which (I believe) permit insertion of additional
shapes as needed. If you need something of a more customized nature then
yes, you'll need to draw it yourself using the AutoShapes tools & lines.

If you decide to go the custom route, however, you'll do better to use PPt
or Excel for the task. They include Connectors which actually "lock" onto
connecting points on just about any shape, not just flow chart symbols.

A serious concept map is a different animal than a flow chart, although
similar in construction. There are many map applications out there, from
