Creating a consolidated project on Sharepoint

I'm an IT manager for a large restaurant company. We've got project sites on
Sharepoint for each of our projects and I am trying to create a consolidated
project using the various plans in each site for better integration and
resource management. When I try to insert the sub-project into the
consolidated project i receive an error message "You cannot use an internet
address here. Enter a location on your computer or on the network." I
presume this is a limitation with MS Project 2003 SP2.

Does anyone have any ideas for a workaround that does not include me keeping
multiple copies of the same schedule?

Thanks!
Caleb

I think the problem is that your computer sees the SharePoint document
as an Internet URL file, whereas Microsoft Project can't open a file
described as an internet URL. Is there a way to "attach" to the
SharePoint file or folder (I suspect not). Maybe a cleaver systems
programmer can write some sort of program that can fake out the OS ...
