creating a folder "shared" between two notebooks.

I have onenote 2003 sp3 on a desktop and a laptop. Each has its own
notebook. I would like to create a folder that I can see from both
notebooks (computers) -- basically so I can move data between them
easily.

I'm not usually one both at the same time; however, sometimes I am
depending on where I am in our office.

Whats the easiest way to achieve this?

Hello Marvin,

Do you have a shared folder both computers can already see - something like
\\mydesktop\public? If so, just create a notebook there.

If not, right click a folder (probably on the desktop if it is powered on
more often) and select Sharing. Go through the steps to share the folder,
and create a notebook there. You can open it from both machines.

This has got be a stupid question, how do i create a New Notebook?

the easy way is to click File | New | Notebook.

the wizard will ask if this is a shared notebook or not: all that really
controls is whether you get an email to send to others when done. As long as
you created the folder with sharing permissions, you can answer that question
any way you want.

I think John overlooked that you are running OneNote 2003. No shared
notebooks in 2003 and only one notebook in 2003. I recommend you upgrade to
OneNote 2007 - you are likely to find it much closer to what you need.
