Creating a new appointment and the OLE Registry

I just got Office Enterprise a few days ago. I was running Outlook '03
previously. When I was using '03, I never had a problem entering in a new
appointment. However, now when I try to enter in a new appointment, I get an
error message saying "An error occurred registering the form in the OLE
Registry." I've tried building a new .pst file and I've also ran Office
Diagnostics and the Repair utility on the DVD, with no luck. Am I missing
something here?

You mean your are using Outlook 2007 now?
Do you have any addins installed that modify the Appointment form like the
Live Local addin?

The error would indicate you are using a custom form. Tried resetting the
forms cache already?
Right-click the folder with the issues-> Properties-> tab Forms-> button
Manage…-> button Clear Cache

OK...I was able to find the properties and was able to clear the cache, but
it still didn't work. I had also forgotten that I had Live Maps on my '03
version which I did not originally have installed. I was able to install it,
but I still have the same problem.

Hope you have resolved your problem. I had the same problem, and the ONLY thing that worked was to run a registry repair program (I ran PC Pitstop Optimize). That fixed it right away.

None of the other recommendations worked.

Good Luck.
