Creating a new chart with code

Does anybody know how to create a chart on a userform? I'd like to set up a
tab for changing the initial parameters and then another to view a couple of
charts based on those initial conditions.

If not on a user form, what is the code to create a new x-y chart and place
it in a given range in a given sheet? What parameters can it take to format
the chart (type, data series range, scaling, chart area/background, etc)?
