Hi,

Is there a way to create create or manipulate a powerpoint file by
manipulating the binary data in the files? I want to build a whole ppt
presention by merging single ppt-files together, but this should be
automated and perhaps also on linux. So the best way i think would be to
write the binary data directly but: is the ppt format known and documented
somewhere? Or are there tools ore apis to do this?

MS used to have an address you could email with requests for the format (and
justification for why they should release it in each case) but that no
longer exists. That seems to be a hint that the answer is "No, we're not
sharing that information any longer." ;-)
