Creating a Program

Can Access be used to create a stand alone program?
Basically an executable that users without MS Access can
run and enter information into the database?

If this can be done, what versions of Access can do it
and is any other software required to do it?

Thank you.

Not in the way you mean it. There is no way to run an mdb
file by itself. What you can do, IF you have the Office
Developer's Toolkit, is to create a royalty-free,
distributable "runtime" version of MS Access. The users
install that runtime onto their PC's, then they can run
existing Access applications. They can not see the
Database window or any Built-in Toolbars.
