I wanted to create a rule that forwards all messages I recieve from a
specific sender.
I set the sender up as a contact, and set up a rule to forward any messages
from him to another email address ( which I also set up as a contact).
I tried setting up the rule to tke action when emails are received from the
sender selected as a contact, but that didnt work at ll becasue I dont think
Outlook recognised the incoming email address to the contact, although it all
looked fine to me. So I changed the rule to use the following criteria.
Rules wizard step 1 - with specific words in the subject ( this seems to work
as the subject is always the same).
Step 2 - Forward it to people or distribution list - with the forward to
address selected from the contacts list
Step 3 exceptions - None selected
Finish rule set up: I gave it a name and checked the turn on this rule box.
The rule is displayed atb the top of the rules setup window.
Now if I click run this rule now. It works, but if I just wait for relevant
incoming mssages to arrive and expect the rule t run it dosnt?
Any ideas?
