Creating a style or format for tables to be used again

S

Susan Burns

Hi. I have a large document that has many two line tables
(using as headers sort of) on each page.

I would like to have a format, or a style or some autotext
thing that when utilized makes all of the tables the same
size. Each table has different text, but I want the
columns to be the same size from table to table.

There are five columns - different sized columns in each
two line table.

Any suggestions?
Thanks very much, in advance.

G'Day Sue,

Try this:
Create a new (empty) Table with 5 columns
Format it, including Header Text/Font/Borders etc,
exactly as you want it - ie YOUR standard table.

Table>Select Table
Insert>AutoText>New and supply a "Name"
for the AutoText entry - make it something
that you are unlikely to type (try "SueTable")

Whenever you need a table:
Insert>AutoText>"SueTable" OR
Begin to type S u e t.... as you reach "t"
you will receive an autotext prompt -
Press "Enter" to insert the Table.
