Creating a Switchboard

I am unable to create a switchboard & add items to it! Here is what did few
times without any success.

I go through Tools-Database Utilities - Switchboard Manager, it tells me
there is no existing switchboard and asks if I want to create one. On
clicking Yes, I get the error message: "There was an error compiling this
function".?

When I click OK, I am left with a form Form1 with one Label control & one
Option command with no text on it and mini display screen called Switchboard
Items with the following items listed in it:
SwitchboardID
ItemNumber
ItemText
Command
Argument.

Clicking on any of them doesn't do anything!

Now when I go back to Tools-Database Utilities - Switchboard Manager, I get
a blank Switchboard Manager dialog box. I click on New and enter Main
Switchboard for the switchboard page name.

When I select the Main Switchboad page and click on Edit, I get the error -
Compile error. in query expression 'IIf(IsNull([Argument],"",[Argument])'.

Clicking on OK, Edit Switchboard Page dialog box pops up, with nothing in
the "Switchboard Name:" input box and "Items on this Switchboard" list box.

So I enter "Main Switchboard" in the "Switchboard Name:" input box and click
New for the "Items on this.." and get the error - Compile error. in query
expression 'IIf(IsNull([Argument],"",[Argument]).

When I click on OK this time, Edit Switchboard Item dialog box pops up. I
enter "Edit/Update Data" for the Text, select "Open Form in Edit Mode" for
the Command and select a form from the Form drop down box. When I click OK,
I get the error message "You cannot go to the specified record".

I cannot go any further and I have to cancel & get out.

What's going wrong or what am I doing wrong? Am I missing any Add-Ins.
