Creating a table of content with hyperlinks to headings

Nina

I am unable to create a table of content with hyperlinks
to my headings.

I recently upgraded to Office XP. I checked "use
hyperlinks instead of page numbers" in TOC options. A
collegue was able to create a table of content with
hyperlinks in Word 2000 in the same document. They did
not function as I opened them in my Word.

Any ideas? Thank you!

They're there. They're not formatted as hyperlinks because you wouldn't want
them to be. And you can't just click on them, but you should be getting a
ScreenTip (if you have ScreenTips enabled) that says "CTRL + click to follow
link." This change was made to make it easier to edit hyperlinks. If you
don't want to have to press Ctrl when clicking, you can change the behavior
on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.
