Creating a Template Style that uses a Table?

D

Dawn

1.) Is it possible to create a Word template style that
uses a table (automatically creates a table when you
select the defined style from Format> Style)? If so, how
do you do it?

2.) Is it possible to create a Word template style that
uses a graphic (automatically pulls in a graphics file
when you select the style)? If so, how do you do it?

Any help would be much appreaciated, thanks!

You can save a template with a formatted table ready placed, or you can save
a formatted table as an autotext entry to place where you want.

As above - unless you are trying to use a graphic as a bullet associated
with a paragraph style.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Basically, I want to define a style that automatically
inserts a two-column table, I want there to be a graphic
in the left cell and the right cell to be text.
Thanks!

It is your use of the word 'style' here that is causing a problem. Tables
are not style attributes. What is it that *you* mean by style here.

You can create add a two column table to a document and save it as a
template.

In the absence of a clearer explanation of how you want this to work, may I
suggest a bit of lateral thinking and that you investigate

This isn't anything that Word "styles" can handle. It is something that
AutoText does very well. You can store the AutoText in your template and
insert it as easily as you can apply a style. You just type the AutoText
name and press the F3 key or press Enter in response to the tooltip that
comes up.
