Creating a View in DB2 with DAO

R

I'd like to be able to use DAO to create a new view in db2 (or perhaps a temp
table or a global temp table). After the view has been created, I'd like to
be able to link to it. This is done from Access 97. Updating to a later
version of Access is not currenty an option.

Anybody have any experience in this area that can point me in the right
direction?

Thanks.

Thanks David.

I figured out how to run sql ddl from Access using the workspace and also
how to link the table to the current mdb.

The next issue is I that when linking a dialog box appears asking the user
to select which field to use as an index. I'd like to either bypass that box
entirely or to automatically give it a value. In either case I don't want it
to appear.

Anybody have any ideas on that?

Thanks in advance,
Rich
