creating active mailto: links in a MS Word Form that's locked

I've got a ton of forms to set up in MS Word - I want people to be able
to fill in the form and then at the end click on the email address of
the person to send it to. The email addess is active as long as the
form is unlocked, but then it doesn't work as a form! When I lock the
form so that a user can tab from field to field the email address isn't
clickable. I've tried locking the link, but Edit/Links is greyed out
(both when the form is locked and when it unlocked) so I am unable to
do that. Anybody got a suggestion about how to do this?

Hello-

Unfortunately you have to contain the hyperlinks within Section Breaks
of some sort (most likely Continuous Section Breaks) & protect the
other sections individually.

Other options may be available, but this is the most direct approach.

I tried that, can't find a way to protect the other sections
individually - seems the entire for is protected or it isn't. Can you
please explain how to protect sections individually - I tried the
manual - can't find any discussion of that anywhere.
Thanks

I'm a step closer - I inserted a text box dropped that email address
into the box: Default text. "Fill-in enabled" has to be checked to
allow you to select the information - then you can paste it into the
To: field of your email utility!

But the email address still isn't clickable.
