Dear High-tech Superheros
I have developed a web reporting application that wraps a third-party charts
package (Dundas).
My clients have asked about the possibility of producing interactive
PowerPoint decks out the reports I produce. By interactive, I mean the charts
cannot be images, but must function in a way similar to MS Graph.
However, because the web report charts look so much better than the standard
charts for PowerPoint, I need to develop a wrapper for the third-party
charting package rather than using MS Graph.
Put in another way: I need to develop a control that will appear in the
Insert->Object... dialog box of PowerPoint, that can be placed on a PPT
slide, persiste some data, and be made interactive to the user.
It appears I need to create a self-registering ActiveX control, but cannot
find documentation on how to do this.
Can anyone point me in the proper direction? Or: Is there some other way I
build the eqivalent of an MS Graph object?
Any help would be greatfully accepted.
