Creating Admin Project

Mike F

I'm having trouble creating an admin project and I can't put my finger on the
reason for my issue.

I have Admin rights assigned to me, and have verified that I have allowed
for myself to "Create Administrative Projects" under the Global Permissions
area.

However, when I go to save the Admin Project I have created, I'm getting the
following: "You do not have sufficient permissions to create an
administrative project in Project Server. Contact your server administrator."

Am I missing another setting somewhere that would prevent me from being able
to create an admin project?

Thanks for your help!

Is your PWA user account a member of any security Groups other than the
Administrators group? If so, remove the other Groups and then let us know
if you still have problems.

Dale...

Thanks for the reply. Sure enough, the only group I'm a member of is the
Admistrators group. There is another person here who also has Admin rights,
and I'll ask her this morning if she's able to create an admin project.

PWA - Admin - Manage Users and Groups - then select yourself (I am
Administrator also) - I am included in all groups and can access all
categories. But I think that where your problem lies is in the permissions
section. You need to select Administrator and "set permissions with
template", you will need to do this both on the categories section and the
Global settings section. This will basically give you full rights to do
anything you need.
