Creating An Ad

I would like to create an ad, using MSWord, to advertise for a sitter. I
usually see ads where the bottom of the ad contains contact information
(contact name and phone number). Was wondering how to do this using MSWord.
Seems like I would need to rotate image, with image being text. Could you
please help explain how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

The key observation is that text in a table cell can be rotated 90
degrees in either direction. Here are the steps I recommend:

- In File > Page Setup > Layout, set the footer "from edge" distance
to 0. This will get the contact info as close to the bottom of the
page as the printer will allow.

- Click View > Header and Footer. On the Header toolbar, click the
button for "Switch between header and footer" to go to the footer
pane.

- Click Table > Insert > Table. Ask for 10 or 12 columns and 1 row.

- Click Table > Table Properties > Rows. Check the Specify box and set
it to 1.25" and "At least".

- Select the whole table by clicking the little square above and to
the left of the first cell.

- Click Format > Text Direction and pick one of the rotated
orientations.

- Type your contact info in the first cell. Copy the first cell to the
clipboard, select the whole table, and paste. That will repeat the
info in all the cells.

- Double-click in the body of the document to close the footer.
Although the table appears gray on screen, it will print as regular
text.

In addition to what Jay has said, note that if you have access to Publisher,
it has built-in templates for "tear-off" fliers.
