Creating an MDE in Access 2002

I'm using Access 2002. When I try to creat an MDE,
Access stops responding. I tried what Microsoft
suggested with no success. Does anyone have any other
ideas please?

Before make *.mde file, open VBA Editor, click "Debug->Compile" to make sure
no syntax error in your code. If there is any error preventing compiling
from finishing, making *.mde cannot proceed.
