Can anyone tell me haow to get Word 2000 to automatically
put a file path footer on ever new word file that I create.

The simple answer is to put the { FILENAME /p } field ("Filename and path"
AutoText entry) in the footer of the template used to create the docs. But
you should *not* put this (or any other header or footer) in Normal.dot
(this will mess up labels and possibly envelopes as well). Instead, create a
specific document template to be used for these docs and select it from File
| New when you want to create docs with this footer. See
