creating backups

I created several backups of my database. Now there are several records
missing or deleted (I do not know what happened to them). I have a report
that shows the missing records and when I open backups that is dated before
the report, the information is not in any of those either. What happened to
the information in the old backups?

Hi Wolfgang,
There are backups before and after the report was printed and the records
are deleted from the tables. The database is replicated and I have been
backing up the "Design Master" usually after synchronizing. Thanks.
