Creating Content Control Forms, so people can fill out sections

Hi guys!

Im having difficulties with saving a form that I have created using the
"Developer" tab and content control boxes, drop down boxes and check boxes. I
want people to be able to fill out their own form with name, date etc. and
send it to me but they wont be able to edit the documents only add the
required data to the required field.

Ideally I would like to save it as a PDF and still allow users the ability
to select drop-down menus etc. I have converted the doc to PDF, using the
word 2007 add on - but when openened - it will not allow others to edit the
form. Not all of my clients have Office 2007, so I cannot send it to them as
a normal document and allow them to fill it out.

So my question is -- How do I convert this document to a PDF whilst still
allowing the content control boxes to be edited - if PDF is not possible --
the next best thing that would be compatible with word 2003
