creating dashboards

Hi,

I have to create a Dashboard in SharePoint which will take raw data and
based on metrics convert to a Red, Green or Yellow status for Upper
management. Does anyone know of any good links which can help me on this?
I've never worked with Dashboards or with combining data before.
