Creating document from existing - not enough memory or disk space

I can create 2 or 3 new documents from existing document,
but after that i get an error message saying not enough
memory or disk space to complete operation.

I've got heaps of memory and disk space so I'm can't work
out what the problem is.

Any idea how to fix?
