Creating Document Style in Word 2007

A style was created in Word 2003 to be formatted a certain way. (i.e. text
certain font, size, and so on.) I know that this style won't work in Word
2007. So I created a new document that is formatted the correct way. I want
to create a new style for this new Word 2007 document. However, everytime I
save it as a "New Quick Style" and I open a new document, the style is no
longer a choice.
To sum up, what I need to be able to do is take a style and apply it to the
whole document, not just to certain sections.
Any suggestions?

I'm curious as to why you think a style created in Word 2003 would not work
in Word 2007.

I have a template saved with the style applied to it from Word 2003. I was
told that I could apply that style to a document that needs to be formatted
the same way. When I do this it doesn't apply the style. Do you know how to
do this?

If you create a new document based on that template, you should still have
all the required styles available.

I can't imagine why not. I'm using Word 2003 templates in Word 97, and my
styles are as I expect.

You may try Advanced Word Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/awr/ This
tool is rather useful in salvaging damaged Word documents.

Select the paragraph and use Ctrl+SpaceBar, Ctrl+Q to clear any direct
formatting applied. Does that make a difference?
