creating excel file on the internet

Hi, I have a report that I generated on a web page, and I
might have the need to get the information to an excel
file. I have tried the export to excel, but because I am
using cold fusion to generate the report, the normal way
of exporting to excel doesn't work. Currently, I just
select the complete report and do cut and paste to Excel
manually. Just want to see if anyone can help me to
automatically do this manual part using JavaScript or
other method.
