Creating Gantt Charts for Old Projects

Nicole

I'm creating a master Gantt Chart for all of the currently active projects in
our division. Some of those have already started, however the default start
date for a newly created Project document is the day the document is created.
Project has allowed me to specify the actual start dates of these projects,
but it won't show the corresponding time lines. How do I see them?

Hello Nicole,

Click on one of the tasks and then click the Go To Selected Task button
on the Standard toolbar (3rd button from far right side.) That should
roll the task bars into view. You can also manually scroll to the left
to go to the tasks with an earlier start date than the master project
start.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie:

Yes, this helped, but I was NOT able to manually scroll any further to the
left. This is why I was confused. Thanks for the info.
