when creating a hyperlink in visio. is there a way to make the linked shape
act like a fly out instead of jumping to the page.?
the sub address is great for multi pages but , was wanting the flyout for
quick reference in a visual aspect. some sub assemblies arent large enough
to require a single full page to themselves. i figure this would be a nice
aid for engineers to glass over and see it as it flysout.
thanks

Nothing fly-out-esque that I know of is built in to the Visio Save As Web
functionality.

If you drink lots of coffee and don't sleep much, you can intercept the
output html files and insert/replace functionality with your own javascript
and html. I've done it. It's not super-hard, but you always have the feeling
that Visio might do something you didn't expect on export and break your
code.

You can edit the hyperlinks to open a new window, rather than the same
window, however, you have to do this in the ShapeSheet as it does not appear
in the UI.
