Creating multiple project server sites using EditSite

Eric

Hi Everyone,

I was able to create a new ProjectServer site in our server. the old one is
PS, the new one is PS2 however PS2 points to the same database in PS and has
the same customizations as PS. I know this happened because they share the
same database.

My question is:
Is there a proper way to create an empty database which i can use in
creating a new ProjectServer site (PS3)? Any step by step guide that will
come up with a new database that the new site can use?

We want to create a new ProjectServer site for a other users in our company
and they have different requirements than the one currently deployed so we
decided it is feasible to create a separate site for them but still in the
same serve machine.

Any help will do.

Thanks in advance!

Eric,

For a step-by-step guide you might want to look at the documentation for setting up the sample database. As I remember, this is detailed enough to get you started. Obviously, some things you'd need to do and some you wouldn't, since you've already got a project server installation completed.

You could also look in the installation manual in the section on manually setting up the database. It's in the Advanced Options section at the end of the manual. Hope that helps.
