Creating new enterprise calendars

I tried to create a new calendar in the Enterprise Global by both copying an
existing calendar and creating a new base calendar. Both times, I was
allowed to create and edit the working time in the new calendar (called
Calendar 1), but when I tried to rename it by opening
Tools>Organizer>Calendars, I got a message that "Base calendars cannot be
added to this project, check out the enterprise global to add or edit base
enterprise calendars". But that's what I had done to create Calendar 1 in
the first place. What am I doing wrong?

When you attempt to rename the Calendar 1 calendar, do you have the
Enteprrise Global file open for editing? If so, are you editing the
Calendar 1 calendar name from the list on the right side of the dialog? Let
us know.

I have the enterprie global open for editing. I tried to rename from both
lists, on the left it tells me enterprise items cannot be renamed, check out
enterprise global, (but it IS checked out), on the right I get the "base
calendars cannot be added" message.
