I'm not sure if this can be done but we are using Word 2002 and trying to
create a new template (entitled Firm.dot) that would hold new styles. We
would then push the new template down via the login script to all the users'
startup directory. Once Word is open, we would like all these new styles to
then be available to all the users. We don't want to overwrite anyone's
normal to incorporate these styles since most people have many autotext and
autocorrect entries (and have also customized their toolbar).
Within Word I did a save as and named my document firm.dot (choose document
template (*.dot)) and then saved it to my Word Startup directory. I checked
within templates and add-ins and confirmed that it was there and was checked.
However, the new style that I created within the firm.dot is not available
when I open a new document. How do I get this to work properly? Thanks in
advance for your help.
