I manage my Battalion's database system which uses an MS SQL Enterprise Sever
backside and an MS Access 2003 frontside. I want to use database records to
create calendar items in Outlook automatically, but I just don't know where
to begin. Any suggestions?
Ideally, I would like to analyze training requirements, create a training
event on the latest date necessary to keep 90% or more of our personnel
current, create a calendar item in the BN Calendar (which resides in a public
folder on our Exchange Server) and send out an email to the Training NCO
notifying him/her of the event.
It's ambitious, I know, but how do I go about automating that whole process?
Thanks in advance.
