creating password-protected website

I converted a folder to a website within our current
website to create a "members-only" section that would
require people to login to access information. I followed
the steps in the following link:

in the final steps to test the logon site in sub-step #3
when I click the password protected link, it brings me
to "page cannot be displayed" error.

Can anyone help?

Hi Ross,

I've just gone thru this exact example and problems...

Make sure you are building thru frontpage 2003

Publish with fp 2003 to a localhost that supports ASP
or to a remotehost that supports ASP

Access the .htm / .asp pages thru your browser.

http://www.remotehost.com/mytest.asp

or

http://localhost/mytest.asp
