creating pdf from word

steve

I have a word document that is 34 pages long, but when I
open adobe and create a pdf it is 35 pages long and throws
off the page. Like have a bullet on the end of a page 1
that should really start on the next page, page 2, but
instead adobe puts it on teh bottom of page one and then
puts the second bullet on the top of page 2. So in
essance it throws off the whole document and adds an extra
page. Any thoughts???

1. Check that Acrobat doesn't have any strange ideas about margins, that are
different to those in your Word settings.

2. Make sure that Acrobat is set to embed ALL fonts. There's a set of fonts
that, in some installations, are set as 'never embed' -- instead Acrobat
uses built-in equivalents. These can have slightly different metrics:
different enough to throw the pagination out of whack.

3. Acrobat occasionally gets confused by graphics -- using different
positioning and spacing.

As a last resort, use hard page breaks in the original document.
