The website "Microsoft Office Assistance: Develop a unique brand identity by
modifying a Publisher Master Design Set" doesn't seem to actually explain how
to modify a Master Design Set, this process seems to only create one template
for an individual item within a design set (such as an informational
brochure).
I want to create a personalised Master Design Set that is applied to all the
available document types to keep my various materials consistent.
As the site says in the first paragraph of the above page :-
"If you have a small business, you'll need printed materials such as
brochures, business cards, mailers, and letterhead to communicate with your
customers and to attract potential customers. You may also need online
content such as a Web site or you may want to send graphically rich e-mail
announcing events or new products. All these material should be integrated in
one master design to give continuity and a sense of branding to your
communication.
Of course you want to look good in print and online. Good design conveys
your message more effectively and gives a professional look to your
publications. But it can be a daunting task. If you're not a designer and
don't have the budget to hire one, how do you produce the publications you
need?
Publisher 2003 comes with 45 professionally-created master design sets.
Within each set you can choose from several different kinds of print, Web,
and e-mail publications. The kinds of publication available vary between
design sets and may include templates for brochures, newsletters, letterhead,
envelopes, flyers, a Web site, invoices, fax cover sheets, event notice
e-mails, special offer postcards, shipping labels, invoices, and more. In
short, most design sets provide templates for all the kinds of printed or
online materials you need for your business.
Starting with the design set of your choice, you can easily customize the
design to match your company's style by changing the color schemes and font
styles, by modifying the logo or replacing it with a specially designed logo,
and by replacing the default pictures with your own.
In this article, we'll show how you can easily transform a master design
into a unique design that identifies your business to your customers."
Having followed the process set out in the example all I end up with is a
template for the one document type I modified. This is useless if I then have
to go through each template and individually amend them!
SO HOW DO I CREATE A PERSONALISED MASTER DESIGN SET PLEASE ???
