creating postscript

I have a full color document. When I choose to print or create a postscript
file it turns to black and white. How do I keep it full color? It is built
CMYK.

Sounds like you need to choose a non black & white printer, which could be a
virtual printer or the Acrobat driver.
What printers do you have installed, are they postscript? If you are trying
to create postscript one might assume you have Acrobat installed.

How do I know if it's a postscript printer? I have a black and white Xerox. I
do have Acrobat. Before I even go to postscript and select print preview out
of publisher, the preview shows up black and white.

Yep, you're not going to get color from a black & white driver. Couple
options, print to Acrobat PDF, but you stated you want a postscript file.
Change your printer to Acrobat and Save As > Postsript File

My goal is to create a pdf from the postscript. Can I go right to pdf? But I
don't have the option to print to Acrobat. Can you help me create that option?
I really appreciate this!

Thanks for all of your help. A coworker in another office was able to take
care of it for me.
Blessings~
