Background: I have a database with a single, linked table from a large excel
file and I am trying to add more functionality within the database. The file
has information, based on part numbers, that needs to be updated.
Question: What I would like to do is create a record form. The record would
result from choosing from 5 different list boxes (manager, buyer, part
number, destination and supplier). When you select the appropriate item from
the list box, there is a command button above there that would find the
correct record based upon the item. I.e., select "Supplier X" from the list,
and all of the records from that supplier are accessable. Each record
occupies a single page. Every time you roll the mouse one click, and new
part for "Supplier X" appears.
I already have a basic format that I want to use for the record, but what I
can't figure out is how to make each box have the information linked to it.
Things like destination, date due, promise date, need date, IPT, SWBS, PO
number, Nomenclature etc. would "roll" each time you used the mouse button.
All of this information is unique for each part, so approx 25 boxes would be
linked.
