Oog. Although I didn't find it especially easy to do (and it helped me
remember why I never use Works except when someone gives me a Works
file), I was able to do the following in Works Word Processor:
- If your dataset is an Access Query instead of a Table,
copy the Query and convert the copy to a Make-Table Query
and run that to create a Table of the names you want to use
- In Works Word Processor, open
Tools --> Labels --> Mailing Labels
- Select format "8389 Post Card", which is 2 per page
(or specify something similar using "Custom" command button)
- Select "New Document" command button
- Select "Merge information from another type of file
- Specify Files of Type = Microsoft Access (*.mdb)
- Open your Access file
- Select your Table (maybe the newly created one)
- Insert the appropriate fields into your document
- Insert other relevant text, such as "Please come",
and appropriate artwork, such as birds & flowers
- Use Print Preview to check that the format is correct
- Load suitable paper and print.
Good luck. (I suggest getting a copy of Word or Publisher, if you can.)
