My cd-rom for some reason can't read the cd (it's an old
cd-rom 8x), not even if i use the run command. Will i
need a new cd-rom or is there a way to create office 2000
start up disketts.

Thanks,

David Camacho.

No there isn't. You will need to replace your drive. They're hardly
expensive these days. You can pick up a 52x CD burner for about $40.
