This occurs on both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, and I have reproduced it
with multiple PC's and multiple users, XP and Vista. All Windows and Office
updates are installed, and I have tried it with MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0.
1) In Outlook, switch to the Calendar
2) Click File -> New -> Meeting Request (or right-click in a time period and
choose New Meeting Request)
3) Switch to the Scheduling view
4) Click on Meeting Workspace
5) If necessary, use Change Settings and choose a Sharepoint site. If you
already have one as your default, you can use it.
6) Click the Create button to create the workspace on the Sharepoint site
7) The progress bar stops while saying "Sending meeting data..." and Outlook
bombs with an exception:
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 12.0.6023.5000 AppStamp:46574050
ModName: wwlib.dll ModVer: 12.0.6015.5000 ModStamp:460d89b2
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00197385
Note that the meeting workspace *is* created on the Sharepoint site.
Now if I omit step 3 (Switch to Scheduling view) and stay on the Meeting
Request view OR any time before clicking the Create button I switch back to
the Meeting Request view it works OK. But if you try to create the meeting
workspace from the Scheduling view it bombs out.
