Creating SQL Server tables with Visio

Wes

Hi there,

I have created a database model in Visio and would like to have Visio now
create these tables and relationships in SQL Server. Unfortunately I can't
seem to determine how to do this. Can anyone help me? I'm using Visio 2003
SP1.

Thanks,

Wes

Arrgghhh....ok, so I have a MSDN Enterprise subscription. Would it be
included with that?

If you have vs.net it probably is. A caution though, the visio version
included in vs.net is labeled as v2003 but is really v2002 so you might face
some of the version sharing problems.

Hi Guys,

I have just had the same problem ... the version that allows forward
engineering is actually Visio 2002 (availailable as
en_visio_ent_arch_2003.iso on the MSDN enterprise subscription), and the file
format from 2003 has to be downgraded (Save as Visio 2002) to be able to be
read by the EA version.

You might also want to take a look at the following website ...
http://www.orthogonalsoftware.com/
They have a tool that can apparently be used from Visio Professional 2003.

I have just literally downloaded it and will try it tomorrow (bit late here
in the UK).

Let me know what you think?
