We have recently upgraded from project server '03 to '07. We have several
"time tracking only" style projects. The time charged to these projects is
considered "project time" NOT admin. There is no WBS just a single task for
time tracking.
In 2007, we are only using the "My Timesheets" functionality.
In 2003, Microsoft recommended re-creating these types of projects every
year to prevent the number of transactions against them becoming too high and
the data getting corrupted.
The questions is: In 2007, do we need to re-create these projects every
year? My understanding is that with the My Timesheets, the timesheet
transactions do not get stored in the project plan, so may be the issue of
corruption is gone and we don't need to keep re-creating these projects.
Appreciate any advice or experience in this area.
